Eterna Pizzeria and Caffe has signed a lease for space in Printers Corner in the Parkside District of Birmingham.

The lease, signed through Orchestra Partners, is the first for the Printers Corner building that is currently under construction. Printers Corner will be 6,700 square feet, with Eterna taking up the entire first floor. Construction is expected to be completed in three months.

“Printers Corner is a very desirable location all within walking distance to Railroad Park, Rotary Trail, Region’s Field and Red Mountain Theatre,” said Eric White, asset manager for Orchestra Partners. “When it came time to pick a new tenant for the space, we wanted something that no one offers in Parkside. When we heard Eterna Pizzeria was bringing in authentic Italian wood-fired pizza ovens straight from Italy, we knew they would make the perfect addition to the area.”

Eterna Pizzeria is owned by Mehmet Ozbey, who also plans to bring in the cheese, flour, extra virgin olive oil, truffle oil, Citterio pepperoni and sopressata (Italian dried salami) from Italy.

“Eterna takes pride in using San Marzano tomatoes in its sauce and all natural ingredients in its recipes,” said Ozbey. “We bring to your table a flavorful journey to the cultural experience of true Neapolitan pizza and cuisine, cooked in our wood-fired oven.”

The pizzeria will offer Margherita, Buffalo Mozzarella, fresh basil and Diavola pizzas. In addition, it will offer salads, Italian wines, international bottled beers and desserts, including homemade gelato, cannoli and sfogliatelle, an Italian pastry.

“The pizzerias feature long community tables, Italian music and European soccer on TV. The atmosphere and environment are going to be very family friendly and very open. You’ll walk in and order your choice of pizza and then take a seat at a wooden table anywhere,” said Ozbey.
