Doster Construction Co. has broken ground on The Viola, a multifamily apartment complex in Huntsville being developed by Lincoln Avenue Communities.
Lincoln Avenue Communities is a subsidiary of Lincoln Avenue Capital and focuses on affordable housing for seniors, families and low-income individuals, according to its website. According to the company’s LinkedIn account, The Viola is Lincoln Avenue Communities’ first tax credit closing in Alabama.
LAC indicates The Viola will offer 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom units within seven three-story, garden-style residential buildings. Planned amenities include a community clubhouse, fitness room, outdoor swimming pool, playgrounds, dog washing station and open green space.
Designed by DNA Workshop, the project will include 204 apartments. Sitework is beginning this month, with construction expected to be complete in 2027.
“The Viola represents an exciting opportunity to continue supporting Huntsville’s rapid growth with thoughtfully designed, high-quality housing,” said Allen Fuller, operations manager at Doster Construction.
The projects is one of several apartment complexes Doster has completed or is working on in the Huntsville area, including the Constellation, The Dempsey and Attain at Bradford Creek.
