Decatur Heritage breaks ground on campus expansion
Decatur Heritage Christian Academy has broken ground on a campus expansion. The school raised $9.7 million for the project. The new addition is a partnership between Fite Construction of Decatur and Fuqua & Partners Architects of Huntsville. – News 19
The first Wawa convenience store in Alabama opens today in Fairhope. It’s the first of three stores planned for Mobile and Baldwin counties by the end of summer. The store is known for fresh food service with hoagies, breakfast sandwiches, a dinner menu and more. – News 5
Mississippi-based Renasant Bank, which has branches in Alabama, says Kevin D. Chapman will become chief executive officer in May 2025. Chapman is currently president of the bank, and he will work with current CEO C. Mitchell Waycaster on the leadership transition. – Renasant Bank
A team of University of Alabama in Huntsville engineering students has won the NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge, the fifth time a UAH team has won first place in the 30-year history of the event.
