Daphne’s Distributed Ledger, a company dealing with cryptocurrency and the blockchain, landed 7th on Inc.’s list of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the country. Huntsville’s LaunchTech, an IT services company, came in at 42nd.
Those are two of the 60 Alabama-based companies that made the list this year.
The companies on the 2022 list are ranked by percentage revenue growth from 2018 to 2021.
Among the top 500 on Inc.’s list, the median revenue growth over the past three years is 2,144%, up from 1,820% for last year’s list.
Distributed Ledger showed a 28,650% growth in revenue over that time period. LaunchTech’s percentage was 8,054%.
Earlier this year, Distributed Ledger announced a deal with the City of Mobile to bring a bitcoin mining project to the city in partnership with GulfQuest Maritime Museum.
No other Alabama companies were in the top 100. The complete list can be found here.
