Mobile County Public Schools Superintendent Chresal Threadgill has been chosen as Alabama’s Superintendent of the Year.
Under Threadgill’s leadership, the school system has improved from a C on the state’s report card to a B and has met multiple COVID-19 challenges. The system received national recognition for broadcasting classroom lessons for grades pre-K through 12 live on local television stations during the statewide stay-at-home order during the spring of 2020.
Threadgill has also built partnerships with governmental agencies and organizations throughout Mobile County and instituted a Leadership Academy with district leaders.
