Jeremy Clark, who began his health care career at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center more than 15 years ago, will return to Birmingham and become CEO of Brookwood Baptist Health and Brookwood Baptist Medical Center.

Clark will become CEO effective Sept. 30, providing oversight and leadership at all five hospitals in the Brookwood Baptist Health system.

For the past six years, Clark has been market CEO for Hilton Head Regional Healthcare, a two-hospital system in South Carolina. Prior to that, he was CEO of Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett in Tennessee.

“I am delighted to return home and look forward to being an integral part of further advancing health care offerings in this community,” Clark said.  “My wife and I are incredibly excited to raise our children in this area, in close proximity to some of our family and friends.”

Clark replaces Tim Puthoff, who has resigned from his role.
