Birmingham-based Brasfield & Gorrie will have a new CEO effective Jan. 1 in a leadership transition the company says has been in the works for several years.
Rob Blalock will become CEO, and Jim Gorrie, currently CEO, will become executive chairman. Miller Gorrie will continue to serve as chairman of the Gorrie Legacy Trust.
“I could not be more confident in the future outlook for our company,” said Jim Gorrie. “Rob’s creativity, passion, and leadership have been evident throughout his career, and we’re thrilled to formalize this transition after years of planning and working closely together.”
Blalock has been with Brasfield & Gorrie for 26 years and has been president since 2022.
“I know I have big shoes to fill as I follow Jim, whose leadership has been tremendously important to me throughout my career at Brasfield & Gorrie,” Blalock said. “Jim followed in his dad’s footsteps by prioritizing treating our clients and subcontractors the way we want to be treated. He also set the tone for collaboration across the company. It’s a huge privilege to carry forward the foundation laid by past generations.”
In addition to the CEO change, Todd Jackson has been named president of the company. He has been with Brasfield & Gorrie for 29 years. Alexia Borden, who joined Brasfield & Gorrie earlier this year, will become chief administrative officer.
