Brasfield & Gorrie has completed construction on Prologis Riverwest III, a 1.1 million-square-foot cross-dock distribution center in Lithia Springs, Georgia.

The center, which includes office space and 211 loading dock door locations, has a 40-foot clear height on an 87.5 acre site. The center also has 279 trailer parking spaces and 449 other auto parking spaces on site.

Brasfield used tilt-up construction methods — pouring the building walls in large concrete slabs on site, then tilting them into position around the building’s perimeter. This method has benefits in both cost and schedule.

Brasfield has worked with Prologis before in Buford, Georgia, and in Charlotte, North Carolina. Prologis is a real estate investment trust that invests in logistics facilities. Brasfield currently is working on tenant improvements at Prologis Riverwest III, which is set to be complete during the fourth quarter of this year.

Ware Malcomb served as the architect on the project. The project is pursing LEED Silver certification.
