BendPak opens second logistics center in Mobile

New facility is company’s second in coastal Alabama

BendPak, maker of automotive equipment including car lifts, air compressors, tire changers, wheel balancers, wheel aligners, evaporative air coolers and more, has opened its second facility in Mobile County.

The new facility nearly doubles the space the California company uses as its East Coast logistics and distribution center. The site allows BendPak to deliver to most East Coast customers in one or two days.

BendPak opened its first facility in 2020 and 30 days later bought the adjoining property for a second location. The first has 100,000 square feet of space and the second 90,000.

BendPak has warehouse space, multiple docks, covered flatbed staging and loading areas, administrative offices and a call center in its two-building Alabama campus.

“Opening this new facility is part of our ongoing efforts to maximize product availability while minimizing time-in-transit to customers across the United States,” says Rudy Diaz, BendPak chief operating officer. “It’s fully stocked with the most popular lifts and shop equipment from across our brand lineup, including BendPak, Ranger, QuickJack, Cool Boss and Dannmar, all supported by a dedicated team of local employees.”

BendPak notes that the site takes advantage of Mobile’s multi-faceted transportation network with three interstates and five Class I railroads. The site is also close to the Alabama State Port Authority facilities and Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley.
