BendPak Inc. has completed Phase 1 of its Donald R. Henthorn Industrial Complex in Mobile County. The complex is named after the company’s founder, Don Henthorn, who died in 2024.
Phase 1 of the complex included site preparations on the 33 acres and the construction of a 261,600-square-foot logistics and distribution center.
“This industrial complex reflects my husband’s lifelong optimism and his faith in the power of hard work, innovation and quality manufacturing,” said Ginger Henthorn, BendPak principal. “Our family is incredibly proud of this development. It was one of the last major projects Don worked on, and we are honored to memorialize his legacy by putting his name on it.”
California-based BendPak was founded in 1965 and evolved from a small machine shop into a supplier of car lifts, automotive service equipment and specialty consumer products. Today, the BendPak Inc. umbrella includes brands such as Ranger, Autostacker, QuickJack, APEX, Ergochair and others.

The new logistics and distribution center streamlines supply chain and distribution operations while also featuring office space and a dedicated showroom that can provide product demonstrations and host training and special events.
The complex is the company’s third facility in Mobile. The first facility opened in 2020 with 100,000 square feet of space. Almost immediately after buying the property for the first location, BendPak bought the adjoining property, which now houses a 90,000-square-foot facility. The Donald R. Henthorn Industrial Complex is located near its other two facilities.
