BCA, CCAA Honor Small Businesses Statewide

Companies in Auburn, Sylacauga, Mobile and Tuscaloosa took top honors in the Small Business Awards presented by the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama and Business Council of Alabama.

Lucy’s, a restaurant in Auburn, won the Gold Award in the Emerging Small Business Category. Troy’s Bama in a Box, a mail-order company specializing in Alabama-made products, and Market Shoppes, an artisan and boutique mall in Wetumpka, won silver and bronze awards in that category.

Marble City Pharmacy in Sylacauga won gold in the 1-10 employee category, followed by John Emerald Distilling Company in Opelika and Alabama World Travel in Montgomery.

In the 11-50 employee category, Calagaz Printing in Mobile won gold, followed by JNJ Apparel in Tuscaloosa and Induron Protective Coatings in Birmingham.

In the largest category, 50-100 employees, gold went to Chuck’s Fish/Five Bar in Tuscaloosa, silver to Niffer’s Place in Auburn and bronze to AirTek Construction Inc. in Troy.
