Aveshka chooses Huntsville for newest location

Guidehouse expands its Huntsville operations

Huntsville is rapidly moving up among Alabama’s largest cities.

Aveshka Inc., a provider of cybersecurity, technology and consulting services, has announced plans for a new location in Huntsville.

“Taking its cue from federal customers who are located or who have recently moved to Huntsville, Aveshka aligned its business strategy to support this market,” the Virginia-based firm said in announcing the move.

“Our presence in Huntsville is a force multiplier for Aveshka’s business and is a key component of our overall strategic plan for ongoing growth,” says Aaron Staley, Aveshka senior vice president, human capital. “While remote work has become more commonplace, we believe our in-person presence is crucial to cultivating customer relationships and capitalizing on strategic partnerships.”

Aveshka is in a mentor-protégé relationship call CyberPro JV, with Drodex Inc., which is headquartered in Huntsville. The team recently earned a spot on the GSA 8(a) STARS III GWAC.

Also Thursday, Guidehouse announced its expansion into a new office just outside Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville. Washington-based Guidehouse, which has had a Huntsville office since 2018, provides consulting services to government agencies and commercial clients.

The location “further supports the firm’s longstanding partnership with the FBI, which recently broke ground on its Innovation Center to establish its Huntsville campus as the leading government technology hub,” Guidehouse said in announcing the expansion.

“We are thrilled to open our new office in Huntsville, a leading national hub for technology innovation and one of the fastest growing and most economically successful regions in the country,” said John Saad, Guidehouse partner and national security segment leader. “This is a defining moment for Guidehouse and the Huntsville community, reaffirming our long-term commitment as a top strategic consultancy and revamping our presence in this important market.”

Ed Meehan, a Guidepost partner and defense segment leader, added: “Huntsville plays a critical role in our nation’s national security and defense, aerospace, information technology and advanced manufacturing industries and we are proud to expand our shared commitment and support to this vibrant local community with leading edge capabilities. Our best-in-class teams seamlessly integrate expertise in public sector and regulated commercial markets to solve the most complex issues of our day, helping our clients truly outwit complexity.”
