Australian swimming pool manufacturer Aquatic Leisure Technologies Group has selected Opp for its U.S. manufacturing home.
The 56,000-square-foot facility will be homebase for the firm’s Aqua Technics Pools. Production is expected to begin in 2026.
“Since entering the U.S. market in 2018, ALT has supplied American distributors and dealers directly from its Australian facilities,” the Alabama Department of Commerce reported on its Made in Alabama website, noting that the site in Opp allows the company to shorten delivery time and provide better support as it expands across the U.S.
“Establishing a manufacturing presence in the United States is a natural progression for our business,” said ALT President Lynley Papineau. “After two years of searching for the right property and the right community to call home, Opp, Alabama provides the ideal location — offering a strong local workforce, supportive community and excellent infrastructure that will help to facilitate our long-term vision for growth.”
