Artemis I launch scrubbed after engine issues discovered

Today’s planned launch of NASA’s Artemis I rocket to the moon was scrubbed after teams discovered engine problems, which remained unresolved as the launch window closed. The launch could be rescheduled as soon as this weekend. Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville and many Alabama contractors have contributed to this mission. – NASA

Competition grows in luxury EV market

Tesla, which once owned the luxury EV marketplace and still outsells other makers, has seen competition ramp up as first BMW and, last week, Mercedes-Benz introduced luxury SUVs at lower prices. Tesla’s SUV starts at $126,490, while the BMW is available for $84,100 and the new Mercedes version is $110,113.  Tesla plans a lower-priced option but has pushed back availability dates. – The Street

 

Shoals area residents mixed on plans to expand dump

Plans to expand a 45-acre landfill near Russellville, in Franklin County, to 467 acres and accept municipal solid waste from anywhere in Alabama, Mississippi or Tennessee are raising concerns in the rural area. – Al.com
