Fewer Amazon workers returned ballots for a second union vote at the Bessemer fulfillment center than did for the first vote that was thrown out. Last year, the turnout was about 55%, with 3,215 of 5,867 ballots returned. The second vote, with tallying set to begin now, saw 2,375 of 6,143 ballots, or about 39%, returned. – AL.com

 

Online job ads up in February

Online job ads in Alabama in February 2022 were up 48% from February 2021, according to numbers from the Alabama Department of Labor. The five occupations with the most online job ads were for registered nurses, retail salespeople, sales representatives, retail supervisors and customer service representatives. – Alabama Department of Labor
