Altaworx chosen Small Business of the Year for Mobile area

Fairhope firm develops VoiP communication services

Fairhope-based Altaworx LLC, a provider of voice-over-internet-protocol business telephone systems, has been named Small Business of the Year by the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce.

Founded in 2003, Altaworx now operates data centers in Dallas and Atlanta and has a presence in 46 states.

Small businesses were evaluated by a committee that considered each firm’s business operations and impact, financial position, innovation and entrepreneurship, customer service and market strategy, and community involvement.

In addition to Altaworx, finalists were Mount Man of Mobile LLC and Walks and Wags Inc.
