Alamo Drafthouse Cinema cancels Birmingham expansion plan
Texas-based Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, announced as the anchor tenant at the Powell Steam Plant development in downtown Birmingham, will no longer be coming to Alabama. Alabama Power, which owns the property and is a partner in the redevelopment, confirmed that Alamo is no longer part of the plan. – AL.com
