In the wake of the coronavirus, Alabama’s largest bank by total assets announced it was taking measures to limit in-person branch-banking services.

Regions Bank branches will offer drive-through services during regular hours and in-office service by appointment only to try to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

“Our teams are committed to delivering financial services, advice and guidance for people and businesses of our communities,” said Scott Peters, head of consumer banking for Regions. “This change will help us do so in a way that helps minimize risks related to coronavirus while also maintaining the ability of our local bankers to meet the critical financial needs of our customers.”

Customers needing an in-person meeting can make appointments through the bank’s website, Regions.com, by using the Make an Appointment feature on the site. And customers are encouraged to take advantage of the bank’s online and mobile banking options, as well as the bank’s network of ATMs, many of which have check cashing and deposit services.

Regions also has offered customer assistance in regards to its credit cards, personal loans, home equity loans and business loans. The Regions mortgage payment assistance team can be reached at 1-800-748-9498 or for other Regions services, customers can call 1-866-298-1113.
