Alabama Home Prices Stagnant; Rest of Nation Sees Increases

While most of the nation enjoyed rising home prices — up 5 percent on average from September 2011 to September 2012 — Alabama’s prices continued to stumble, according to the September report by California-based CoreLogic.

Including distressed sales, Alabama ranked fourth from the bottom, with home prices depreciating 1.3 percent in the year. Excluding distressed sales, Alabama was at the bottom, losing 3.1 percent, according to the report.
