REAMCO chooses Harpersville for $13.8 million investment

The manufacturer plans to bring 72 jobs to Shelby County

REAMCO, an electrical engineering firm and equipment manufacturer, will invest $13.8 million in the town of Harpersville, in Shelby County. The company plans to hire 72 employees over the next three years.

“We are pleased to have new investment in an existing building here in Harpersville. These new, well-paying, manufacturing jobs are crucial to the bright future Harpersville represents,” said Harpersville Mayor Theo Perkins.

REAMCO plans to invest more than $7 million in new manufacturing equipment and upgrades to the building it is acquiring, which will be completed in March 2027.

“This site represents a current investment in growth but also gives abundant growth opportunities,” said REAMCO Vice President Eric Rivers.

REAMCO provides electrical engineering products and services to cement plants, the metals industry and utility companies. The company services businesses in Alabama, Florida, Tennessee and Texas with sales representatives in 11 Southeastern states.
