Coca-Cola United opened its doors to media Thursday at its new $330 million headquarters in Birmingham. The campus will be operational on Sept. 14.
The facility is on the grounds of the former Stockham Valve site in Birmingham’s Kingston community. It replaces the company’s East Lake campus, which has been operational since 1979.
“For the first time in many years, this campus will bring together 750 associates under one roof, creating opportunities for greater collaboration, innovation and connection across our organization,” the company said in press notes. “We’re also proud that this investment is expected to create up to 50 additional jobs.”
Beverages will not be produced at the new campus, which will be home to corporate headquarters, a Birmingham sales center and distribution warehouse.
Brasfield & Gorrie, Williams Blackstock Architects, Hatcher Schuster Interiors, Gensler and others were involved in building the new headquarters.
Coca-Cola United has been in Birmingham since 1902.
