Associated MetalCast in Oxford will upgrade and expand its two facilities in the city, a $6.24 million investment that will create 50 new jobs over the next six years.

Founded in 1998, Associated MetalCast serves customers in the waterworks, automotive and industrial equipment industries by providing ferrous and non-ferrous cast components.

“Associated MetalCast is exactly the kind of company Alabama wants to grow — innovative, technically advanced and deeply committed to quality,” said Ellen McNair, secretary of the Alabama Department of Commerce.

The project is supported by the city of Oxford, Calhoun County, Talladega County and the Calhoun County Economic Development Council. In addition, AIDT will provide its worker training services.

The company offers precision casting, CNC machining services, engineered solutions, specialty service and inventory management services, according to its website.
