Talladega’s Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind has been awarded a contract worth up to $15 million by the U.S. Air Force.
The contract is for a blanket purchase agreement for Warner-Robins Air Logistics Complex AbilityOne Procurement List items.
“This contract provides for all the tools, parts, materials and equipment offered from AbilityOne Procurement List website,” according to the Department of War website.
Work under the contract will be performed at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia and is expected to be completed by Feb. 5, 2029.
The AbilityOne program provides opportunities for people who are blind or have significant disabilities.
