Vergenia Shelton is president of Intuitive Research and Technology, an aerospace engineering and analysis firm headquartered in Huntsville. Shelton manages daily operations and carries out the company’s strategic plan. She joined Intuitive in 2005 as a deputy program manager supporting the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center’s Manufacturing, Science and Technology Division, Engineering Directorate. She eventually worked her way up the career ladder to become Intuitive’s vice president, prior to becoming president. Shelton’s degrees include a bachelor’s in industrial and systems engineering from Auburn University and a master’s in engineering management from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
