22 in ’22: Kellie Clark

Meet the Alabama women propelling the tech scene

In Birmingham, Kellie Clark is the CEO of Appthink, a digital platform and community that coaches novice entrepreneurs in validating and testing their startup ideas. Clark is also the former program director at Innovation Depot, the business incubator in Birmingham where she created and curated programming for early-stage founders and supported seed and pre-seed investments. She also worked in recruitment and enrollment for the nonprofit Innovate Birmingham’s software development boot camps. In 2018, she was lead project manager for Birmingham Innovation Week, celebrating the city’s tech ecosystem. Clark has a bachelor’s in political science and a master’s in public administration, with a concentration in economic development, from Auburn University.
