Julie Hester is a computer science instructor at Northeast Alabama Community College. In addition to teaching her classes, during cyber security awareness month she organizes activities to raise awareness among faculty and students about online threats and how to prevent them. She also conducts workshops at local schools on topics like cyber security and online safety with the goal of teaching youngsters how to avoid dangers online. Hester has an associate’s degree from Northeast Alabama Community College, a bachelor’s degree in information systems from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and a master’s degree in information systems from the Florida Institute of Technology.
