Westwater Resources, a Colorado-based company with a major graphite processing plant under construction in Coosa County, has executed a letter of intent with Japan’s Dainen Material to supply the company with coated spherical purified graphite. Dainen supplies Japanese manufacturers with materials for batteries. — BusinessWire

Melt will open in Auburn

Birmingham-based Melt, which specializes in grilled cheese sandwiches, is opening a new location in Auburn’s Tiger Town development. Melt already has locations in Birmingham and Huntsville. – Bama Buzz

Trussville restaurant returning after 13 years

Tamburro’s Italian, a family-owned restaurant that closed its doors in Trussville in 2010, is returning in a new location. The restaurant closed when Dick Tamburro retired, but his daughter and daughter-in-law are reopening it. –Trussville Tribune
