Williams Blackstock Architects has designated new leaders to ensure stability, growth and continued delivery of design and service.

Joel Blackstock, principal and cofounder, now assumes the role of chief executive officer, while Stephen Allen, principal, succeeds Blackstock as president. Matt Foley, principal, is taking on the role of chief operating officer. Other leaders include Binx Newton, Bill Segrest, Brittany Foley and Amanda Fowler, all of whom are principals. Fowler is also chief financial officer.

“With this transition, we are shifting into an exciting new phase that will help our firm flourish and bring an even higher level of service to our clients,” said Blackstock. “Stephen Allen, who has played an integral role in leading successful projects for many years, has proven to be a consistent force in steering us in the direction we want to go. I am confident he is fully prepared to step into his expanded role, he will guide the firm by emphasizing a relationship-first approach, and he is exactly the right person to shepherd us through the next chapter of our legacy.”

As the new COO, Foley will oversee day-to-day operations and implement the firm’s growth strategy. “To accommodate our evolution as a company, Matt will be working to develop, streamline and improve our systems, processes and people,” Blackstock said.

For three decades, Williams Blackstock Architects has worked with clients to deliver productive and inspirational spaces. The firm currently employs 50 people.
