Officials with the Wawa convenience store chain made appearances in Mobile and Spanish Fort Friday to announce the first Alabama locations of Wawa stores. Officials announced two locations in Mobile, two in Fairhope and one each in Daphne and Robertsdale. The first one should be open within a year.   – AL.com

 

UAB names health care leaders

The University of Alabama at Birmingham Heersink School of Medicine and UAB Health System announced two key appointments. Dawn Bulgarella is the new CEO of the UAB Health System and UAB/Ascension St. Vincent’s Alliance, and Anupam Agarwal has been named dean of the medical school, senior vice president of medicine and chair of the Health Services Foundation Board. – University of Alabama at Birmingham

Ohio-based taco chain coming to Alabama
