The Creekside Lodge property is getting new life, redeveloped by JSM Property & Development. The new Creekside Lodge at Lake Martin will feature a boutique hotel and private summer club.
“I’ve been coming to Lake Martin for a long time, and I always wondered how such as great waterfront property could be so underutilized,” said Spencer Mann, owner of JSM Property & Development. “Finally, one day, I decided to track down the owner. We connected and worked out a deal within just a couple of days.”
The 3.5-acre waterfront property includes a 20,000-square-foot lodge with 24 hotel rooms and three two-bedroom suites, a 10,000-square-foot commercial restaurant and a clubhouse building with a large covered lakefront porch, a coffee/sandwich shop, a 5,000-square-foot open air pavilion, a pool and hot tub, a swimming dock, a boat ramp and waterfront gathering areas.

The redevelopment includes a hybrid hospitality model, with hotel accommodations and a seasonal membership program. The seasonal membership program will run from Memorial Day through Labor Day, allowing members to receive their own dedicated hotel room for the entire summer season, access to the waterfront clubhouse and common areas and use of the pool, hot tub and outdoor kitchen and gathering area, along with the swimming dock and boat ramp.
“Lake Martin is one of the most desirable lake markets in the Southeast, but owning a second home isn’t practical for everyone,” Mann said. “This concept allows families to enjoy the lake all summer long with a dedicated place of their own, without maintenance and long-term commitment of property ownership.”
Outside of the summer membership season, the location will act as a boutique hotel and event destination, hosting weddings, retreats and private gatherings.
Plans are to open the redeveloped property in early May.
