Waitr, a leading on-demand restaurant delivery service, is adding two new communities with its expansion into Center Point and Trussville. The food delivery app makes its debut this week in the cities, with the official launch party set for September 11.
Waitr currently has more than 180 restaurant partners in the Birmingham area, up from 25 when it first debuted in 2017. Louisiana-based Waitr will bring 100 new jobs to Center Point and Trussville, including a locally based managerial staff. The company already serves much of the Birmingham area including Mountain Brook, Vestavia Hills, Homewood, Hoover, Irondale, Alabaster, Pelham and Helena.
“We’re very proud to be a part of this community and thrilled that Waitr has become a fixture in so much of the Birmingham area,” says Whitney Savoie, market development director for Waitr.
Waitr will host a launch party at Rock-N-Roll Sushi (5078 Pinnacle Square #106) in Trussville, on Wednesday, September 11 from 5 to 8 p.m. It is encouraging everyone to come out and be part of the city’s launch and meet the local team. Attendees at the free party can expect tasty appetizers, cold drinks and cool “swag” items to take home with them.
