The popular food delivery app Waitr recently announced it would double, in some places, the delivery zone for restaurant food in the Birmingham area.
Waitr, which now partners with 300 Birmingham eateries, now has delivery areas as far as 12 miles from certain restaurants, which in some cases is double the prior reach. For customers this means increased access to their favorite foods from top restaurants.
The company announced same-day grocery delivery in Birmingham a few weeks back.
For those seeking grocery delivery, customers can shop on the Waitr app, or at waitrapp.com, and select GROCERY to search for basic items such as toilet paper, cleaning supplies and personal care products, as well as freshly stocked meat and produce.
The app is providing personal shoppers, in addition to delivery drivers, to help fulfill grocery orders. Waitr is also offering a no-contact delivery option for grocery just like they do with restaurant deliveries, which allows for distancing between customers and delivery drivers.
