Vaughn T. Poe, executive director of the Alabama Real Estate Commission, was accepted to the Center for the Advancement of Leadership Skills Class of 2025.
The five-day workshop event takes select CALS scholars through activities and instruction focused on communication, conflict resolution, consensus building and critical decision making.
CALS is the only leadership development program specifically designed for Southern state government officials in their early-to-mid stages of their careers. In addition to developing and enhancing leadership skills, the program offers participants opportunities to foster connections, engage in conversations and take part in sessions designed to explore individual boundaries and perceptions.
Poe, a decorated U.S. Marine Corps veteran, holds degrees from the University of Fairfax, Webster University, Park University and Technical College of the Lowcountry.
In addition to his role in real estate, he also operates PoeFolks Cattle Co. LLC, where he raises Brangus cattle and foxhunting quarter horses.
