Vacant Birmingham-area mall set for demolition

Brookwood Village, a now-empty shopping mall so named because it’s partially in Mountain Brook and partially in Homewood, is set for demolition. Fairway Investments and Pope & Land Real Estate purchased the mall in 2021 to redevelop it. Already, Andrews Sports Medicine has plans to convert the former Belk store into an orthopedic clinic. – PR Newswire
