Tony Bruno has resigned as president and CEO of United Launch Alliance, which operates the world’s largest rocket factory in Decatur. John Elbon has been named interim CEO of ULA, a joint venture between Lockheed Martin and Boeing. – AL.com

Athens receives grant for infrastructure, jobs

A $300,000 grant to Athens from the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) will be used to bring infrastructure improvements, 100 new jobs and a new Food City grocery store to the North Alabama city. The city has also pledged $322,000 toward the project. – Hville Blast
