UnitedHealthcare has named Bryan Palmer chief executive officer of its Employer and Individual Health Plans of Georgia and Alabama.
Palmer has more than 25 years of health care experience, including 20 years with UnitedHealthcare working with commercial plans in Florida.
He started as an account manager for key accounts in South Florida and has held a variety of roles until 2016, when he assumed his most recent role of regional growth officer for the Southeast region.
As CEO, Palmer will be responsible for UnitedHealthcare’s commercial business growth and management in Georgia and Alabama.
“I’m excited to transition to my new role as CEO and work closely with my team members — many of whom you probably already know — to ensure Georgians and Alabamians continue to have access to the support and services they need to achieve better health,” Palmer said.
