The University of North Alabama Foundation set a fundraising record over the last fiscal year, raising nearly $23 million. That’s nearly double the previous record of $12.7 million raised in 2018.  – News 19

Gadsden Water Works settles pollution lawsuit with companies

The Gadsden Water Works and Sewer Board has settled a lawsuit against several companies it accused of putting dangerous chemicals in the river that supplies water for the city. The suit was against 3M Company, Shaw Industries, Mohawk Carpet, Mohawk Industries and Industrial Chemicals. – The Gadsden Times
