Montgomery, Faulkner forge tuition agreement for officers

Faulkner University will offer a tuition break for Montgomery police officers and their families. Officers will receive a 60% reduction in tuition, and up to two family members will receive a 50% reduction.  – Alabama Political Reporter

‘Cake Lady’ dies at 89

Andalusia’s Dean Jacobs, known for her seven-layer cakes in grocery stores and her own store, Dean’s Cake House, has died at 89. Jacobs, known as “Miss Dean, the Cake Lady,” sold her cakes in markets in Alabama, Florida and Mississippi. ­– AL.com
