The University of Alabama’s endowment has topped $1 billion for the first time. For the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, the endowment jumped by nearly a third to reach $1.09 billion. – The Crimson White

Coca-Cola celebrates upgrades at Evergreen sales center

Evergreen Coca-Cola Bottling Company, a sales and distribution center of Birmingham-based Coca-Cola Bottling Company United, hosted an open house Wednesday to show off its more than $450,000 in facility upgrades. UA researching fuel for long-range, precision-fire missiles

Researchers at the University of Alabama are working on a hydrogen fuel that could be used in long-range, precision-fire missiles by the military. The research is part of an $11 million, four-year project to further develop a novel hydrogen fuel. – University of Alabama

 

Frontier adding Huntsville-Denver flights

Frontier Airlines will add a nonstop flight to Denver from Huntsville International Airport beginning May 2. Fares will start at $94 one-way, and service will be offered weekly on Monday and Friday. – WAAY 31
