Two tourism attractions open at the Gulf Coast

The Bohemian and The Launch at ICW offer amenities to visitors and residents

An inside look at The Bohemian, an indoor event venue at Owa in Foley.

Two local attractions are opening today at the Gulf Coast.

Porch Band of Creek Indian-owned Owa has opened its event venue, The Bohemian, an indoor space that is ideal for family reunions, business retreats, parties/celebrations, fundraising events and more.

Located in Foley, The Bohemian has flexible space ranging from 1,700 to more than 5,000 square feet with catering available. It is in the downtown section of Owa, which also offers dining, shopping and entertainment options, including a tropical theme park.

In Orange Beach, The Launch at Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) officially opens this morning with Gov. Kay Ivey, Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Commissioner Chris Blankenship and local officials on hand.

Established with Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act (GOMESA) funding, The Launch at ICW is 47 acres featuring more than 1,700 feet of water frontage, six boat launches, lit boat and car parking, as well as boardwalks and picnic tables.

The Launch at ICW was one of the 2020 GOMESA awards in the amount of $2.6 million.
