Dillard’s Chophouse, a fine-dining steakhouse in Tuscaloosa, will open a second location in Birmingham on April 29. It will be in the Westin Birmingham in Uptown, adjacent to the BJCC and Protective Stadium. – AL.com
Wahlbergs’ restaurant will close
The Huntsville location of Wahlburgers, the burger chain started by Paul Wahlberg and his brothers, actors Donnie and Mark Wahlberg, will be closing April 13. The restaurant opened in MidCity in 2020. – News 19
UAH leads cybersecurity coalition with grant
The University of Alabama in Huntsville is leading a four-university coalition to advance cybersecurity education thanks to a three-year $3.2 million grant from the Department of Defense. Mental health facility opens in Hoover
Longleaf Recovery & Wellness opened in Hoover, offering outpatient care for people suffering from mental health issues. The facility will offer solo and group counseling. The company says it’s one of the first of its kind in the area and one of just a handful throughout Alabama. – ABC 33/40
