Trustees approve Bartow Arena renovation at UAB
The University of Alabama System board of trustees has approved a $15.4 million renovation of Bartow Arena at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The board also approved UAB’s athletics department to pursue naming rights for the venue. – AL.com
21 SEEDS grants total $15.7 million
The State Industrial Development Authority has approved 21 grants for $15.7 million under the Site Evaluation and Economic Development Strategy program, which helps communities buy and prep sites for economic development. Grants were awarded in 19 counties. – Gov. Kay Ivey’s Office
Montgomery group awarded Army dining contract
Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services, in Montgomery, has been awarded a $12.2 million contract to operate dining facilities at the Fort McClellan Training Center. The contract goes through Jan. 31, 2031. – Department of War
