Troubled restaurant group faces new lawsuit

The Pihakis Restaurant Group, which has closed several of its restaurants in recent weeks, has been sued by Birmingham-based Evans Meats for almost $400,000. This comes after the landlord for some of the Pihakis restaurants filed liens seeking to collect more than $340,000. – AL.com

Zoe’s Kitchen founders opening new concept

The Cassimus family, who started Zoe’s Kitchen, will open Zozo’s Kitchen, a new restaurant, in Homewood. In addition, they will rebrand Zoe’s & Marky’s Kitchen restaurants in Cahaba Heights and Tuscaloosa to Zozo’s Kitchen. – Bham Now
