Tourism brought in billions to Jeffco last year
Visitors spent an estimated $2.2 billion in Jefferson County in 2021, a 45% increase over the previous year’s total, according to a study commissioned by the Greater Birmingham Convention & Visitors Bureau. FAA lifts fines against Anniston airport
The Federal Aviation Administration has lifted $1.5 million in fines against Anniston Regional Airport after it passed a recent inspection. The fines had been imposed after the FAA said the city, which owns the airport, had not made needed repairs. – AL.com
