Breweries, distilleries left out of alcohol home-delivery bill
Alabama’s alcohol home-delivery bill, passed last week by the Senate and awaiting a vote by the House of Representatives, doesn’t include brewers, distilleries and wineries, according to the Alabama Brewers Guild. The guild believes that might be changed before the house votes on the bill. – AL.com
Honours Golf takes over Gadsden club
Birmingham’s Honours Golf has taken over operations at the Gadsden Country Club. Honours Golf is a division of Troon, which provides services for 630 golf courses at 585 locations. – The Gadsden Times
Hundreds file insurance complaints in wake of Sally
More than 200 people have filed complaints with the Alabama Department of Insurance related to claims made in the aftermath of Hurricane Sally. Complaints included insurance companies not calling consumers back and patching roofs instead of replacing them. – NBC 15Â
West Alabama chamber will move headquarters
The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama will move its headquarters to the Regions Bank building in downtown Tuscaloosa. In addition, the building will house workforce and community development organizations. Regions will move its operations into a new building. – Patch
