Alabama Power named a top utility in economic development
Alabama Power Company is one of 20 utilities around the country to be named Top Utilities in Economic Development by Site Selection magazine. The trade magazine cited Alabama Power for creating more than 4,400 jobs and attracting $2.1 billion in new capital investment in 2019. — Alabama NewsCenter 

Alabama & Gulf Coast Railway faces lawsuit over 2013 derailment
A 2013 train derailment and oil spill outside of Aliceville violated the Clean Water Act, the Alabama Water Pollution Control Act and the Alabama Environmental Management Act, a federal suit filed against Alabama & Gulf Coast Railway LLC alleges. — Bloomberg News

UAH professor lands grant for fusion propulsion research
Jason Cassibry, an associate professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering and an assistant research professor at the University of Alabama in Huntsville Propulsion Research Center, has been given a $143,000 grant for fusion propulsion research to enable rapid deep-space travel. The grant is among the inaugural Interstellar Initiative Grants awarded by the Limitless Space Institute.” — UAH News
