Gas prices about to get ugly, in part because of Iran
As July arrived, price monitoring site GasBuddy reported that stations around Montgomery were selling gas for about a nickel more than last week. Roofer, 15, dies first day on the job in Cullman accident
A 15-year-old child fell approximately 40 feet while working on a roof in Cullman. Police confirm the minor died as a result of the fall. Cullman Police received a call at 10:55 a.m. Monday of the accident. Officers tell us this was the 15-year-old’s first day on the job and he was working alongside his brother. The child was from Guatemala and lives in the Vestavia Hills area. He fell after stepping onto an unsupported section of the roof. – WIAT

Building automation and energy services provider Albireo Energy says it has added its eleventh company, Alabama Controls Inc., to its platform. The partnership will strengthen Albireo Energy’s geographic presence in the Southeast region by adding seven offices throughout Alabama, Tennessee and Florida.
