Southern Company will continue to run National Carbon Capture Center
The U.S. Department of Energy has renewed a $140 million agreement for Southern Company to manage the National Carbon Capture Center in Wilsonville. Huntsville workforce trainer receives national award
The North Alabama Homebuilding Academy was awarded the Best Workforce Development Plan by the National Association of Homebuilders. Since opening in January, the academy has seen 62 people graduate, learning HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other skills. – WAFF-48 

Daily Meal names Fonfon burger one of best in country

Progress Bank expands in Florida
Huntsville-based Progress Bank will open an office in Santa Rosa Beach in Florida’s Walton County. The office, the bank’s third in the Florida Panhandle, is expected to open in November. – Progress Bank

Hemp-growing license applications open through ADAI
The Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries has opened applications for hemp licenses. The online application system is for eligible growers and processors. Deadline for applications is Nov. 30. – WKRG-5
