Huntsville-based digital health company Acclinate Genetics will relocate its corporate headquarters to Birmingham’s Denham Building in the Parkside neighborhood. The company will maintain an office at HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology, where it launched earlier this year.  – AL.com

Hummus & Pita Co. expanding in Alabama
New York-based Hummus & Pita Co., a fast-casual chain serving up Mediterranean fare, will open in Huntsville Thursday, with another location planning to launch in Montgomery later this month. In Huntsville, the restaurant’s first 50 customers – and all first responders – will eat free on Wednesday during a soft opening. –Fast Casual

More opposition to rendering plant in Gadsden
Opponents of a proposed rendering plant showed up again at the Gadsden City Council meeting to show their opposition to the project. Pilgrim’s Pride is negotiating for property near the Gadsden airport for the plant, which would render chicken parts. – WBRC-6
