Committee passes bill that would allow beer, alcohol delivery
The Alabama Senate Judiciary Committee has passed a bill to allow home delivery of beer, wine and alcohol from package stores and from restaurants and bars with a meal purchase. The Alabama Legislature must vote on the bill now. – WBRC 6 

Florida company plans $5 million expansion of Montgomery facility
Florida-based Ocean Bio-Chem is expanding its Kinpak Inc. facility in Montgomery by about 69,000 square feet. The plant, in Gunter Industrial Park, manufactures and distributes marine, RV and outdoor performance and maintenance chemicals. This is the second expansion of the plant in five years, and total square footage after the new expansion will exceed 370,000. – Cision 

Alabama HBCUs will share in $10 million gift
Three Alabama schools – Alabama A&M University, Alabama State University and Tuskegee University – will share in $10 million given to 25 schools in 12 states by British-based beer and spirits maker Diageo. The money from the company that sells brands like Guinness beer, Johnnie Walker whiskey and Smirnoff vodka, will create endowments to help with financial assistance for students.  – The Virginian-Pilot
